Tropea
Tropea is a picturesque little town at the coast degli dei, founded by Hercules. In the times of the Normans Tropea developed into a densily populated and rich place. During the times of feudalism it became residence of numerous noble families. Tropea has kept nearly its entire urban structure of the 17th century.


Pizzo
One of the nicest and most famous places in the province of Vibo Valentia. The picturesque coast town is situated on a rock, steep above the gulf Sant´ Eufemia. Its historical centre is full of little stairs, lanes, old fountains and stately residences.


Briatico
This marvelous seaside resort is famous for its promenade with a view over the gulf of Lamezia Terme and the Eolic islands. Here you have numerous beaches. The "Pescheria S.Irene" is a very special place to dive. The pumice rock lies only 200 m away from the shore and makes a safe and silent diving possible.


Nicotera
A lovely little town on a hill under cover of the mountain Poro. Although it has been destroyed by an earthquake in 1783, it has kept a very interesting old centre which lies on a terrace with a view onto the gulf of Giola Tauro.


Serra San Bruno
Serra san Bruno is the place of the monastery architect "Bruno von Köln". It is place of cult and a characteristic small town, reminding you of villages of the Alps. It has typical buildings of the 17th and 18th century. The plateau is called "The Alps of the South" and has got a thousand year old fir forest and lots of sources.


WWF OASIS
Near Pizzo there is a WWF oasis to protect the fauna of the Angitola lake. The Angitola lake is a protectorate for ten years now and an important biotope for water birds. Here over 130 species spend the winter among them ducks, herons and many others. You find the WWF oasis only 4 km away from the motorway exit Pizzo.
