Rivello In the proximity of Maratea there lies the very pictorial place Rivello,
which was explained as the national monument because of its well preserved architecture. Wonderful convenient on a hill,
colourful apartments which are painted with architectural motives like change ways or railings are remarkable.
Matera
Matera is the second provincial capital of the region Basilicata and is located approx. 45 km away from the Ionic Sea.
Matera is known as the town of the Sassi. The special of this town are the caves hit in tuff stone in which lived peoples
still to 1960. 1993 it was recognized by the Unesco as "Wealth of humanity".
Paestum Once to sink into the world of the ancient Greeks, admire the best received Greek temple, the Amphitheater, the streets etc..

To reach the excavation sites:
- by car over the highway SS18,then follow the road signs.
- by train you reach Paestum, railway station Paestum, then approx. 15 minutes on foot.
National parc Pollino
The largest national park of Italy, explained as national protection park in the year 1994 from the Unesco,
is dominated by the mountain massif of the Pollino. It spans the regions Basilicata and Calabria and is stamped
in the area of Lucania by a thick net of streams. The grounds are very fruitful, and so there is a partially rare fauna.
Many robbery birds , king eagles, vulture, eagle owls are living in this region. Wild pigs, porcupines, marmots and
unfortunately still a very few wolves are living here.
Monastery S. Lorenzo
In Padula stands Certosa di San Lorenzo, in 14. Century created, the most
important architectural monument of the Vallo di Diano. The monastery, mainly in
the baroque style, after renovation work of many years shines again in its old
beauty and elegance, which does not remind so at all, of a monastery, but rather
to the residence of a noble one.

You can reach Padula and the monastery Certosa by car over the highway "A3 Salerno Reggio Calabria", from the north coming exit Petina,
coming from the south exit Polla. We recommend to you to connect this trip with the inspection of the "grotte of Pertosa".
Grotta di Pertosa
The Grotta di Pertosa ("Le grotte di Angelo" in Pertosa) is long and only over a small underground lake attainable over 2000 m.

You can reach “Le grotte di Angelo” by car over the highway "A3 Salerno Reggio Calabria", if you come from the north,
take the exit Petina, if you come from the south, take the exit Polla. Then you follow the signs "grotte dell ' Angelo" Pertosa.
