Two typical products of the Basilicata are the Aglianico wine and the paprika of Senise.

Aglianico:
The area of cultivation of wine in the Basilicata is the smallest in Italy and lies near by the volcano Vulture. The common grape vine was imported of the Greeks around 7. and 6.Cent.A.C. With the Aglianco del Vulture concerns it the only DOC wine of this region and is a wholehearted and strong red wine.


Paprika of Senise:
The paprika was imported from the new world to Italy and spread there very fast. Today the paprika of Senise which owes to her name to the place of the cultivation area on the river of the Sinni is a respected product approved in whole Europe.
