Torre Canne is one of the most popular sea resorts of the Itria-valley. Not because of its architecture, the building stock is
rather uninteresting. It's the long golden sandy beach and the clear turquoise coloured sea, that make the village a lively
bathing resort in the summer months.
The locality is part of the municipality of Fasano and has only 400 inhabitants that mostly live on tourism, rent out holiday
apartments or run beach shops.
Torre Canne is known beyond the boundaries of the region for its hot springs. When the bathing season comes to an end, the
warm thermal waters attract holiday makers in the spa area. The concentration of minerals in the water is used to cure
respiratory diseases and osteoporosis. But also if you only like to give yourself a treat, this is the right
place for you: massages, mud baths, facial treatments, anti-cellulite-treatments, aroma therapy, are only few examples.
A bath in the sea by contrast is a free and appropriate pleasure for children, because the sandy beach slopes gently.
